Brian S. Posner

Founder and President

BRIAN S. POSNER, the founder and President of Point Rider Group LLC, has more than 30 years of experience in the asset management industry as both a senior management executive and investment professional.

From 2005 through 2008, he was Chief Executive Officer, President, and co- Chief Investment Officer of ClearBridge Advisors LLC, one of the largest mutual fund companies in the U.S. Prior to joining ClearBridge, Mr. Posner was a co-founder and the Managing Partner of Hygrove Partners LLC, an alternative asset management company formed in 2000, and served as the portfolio manager of Hygrove’s various limited partnerships.

Mr. Posner’s career began at Fidelity Investments where, from 1987 through 1996, he served first as an equity research analyst and later as a mutual fund portfolio manager. While at Fidelity, among the portfolios he managed was the Fidelity Equity-Income II Fund (1992-96), a top performing mutual fund and one of the largest diversified equity funds at that time.

Following Fidelity, from 1997 through 1999 he was a senior executive with Warburg Pincus Asset Management (and later its successor firm, Credit Suisse Asset Management) where he held a number of senior roles including co-Chief Investment Officer, Director of Research, Chairman of the Global Asset Allocation Committee, member of the Executive Operating Committee, and Senior Portfolio Manager.

A recognized expert in the area of corporate governance, Mr. Posner currently is Non-Executive Chair of Bioverativ (BIVV) and serves on the boards of Arch Capital Group (ACGL) and Biogen (BIIB). He is also a trustee of the AQR Funds. He previously served as a director of Anadys Pharmaceuticals, The Mutual Fund Store (a private company) and Sotheby’s, among others. In addition, he is currently a trustee of Northwestern University and a member of the Board of Visitors for the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University.

Mr. Posner received his B.A. in History from Northwestern University in 1983 and his M.B.A in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1987.

Lauri B. Altman

Chief Business Strategist

LAURI B. ALTMAN, Chief Business Strategist at Point Rider Group LLC, is a financial services industry professional with over 20 years of experience in various financial management, business strategy and client relationship related roles. Ms. Altman has an in-depth knowledge of traditional and alternative asset management products, extensive client service and relationship management expertise, and strategic planning and merger integration skills.

She has worked for some of the most revered executives on Wall Street in demanding environments where she exhibited a keen awareness of organizational objectives and goals, introduced creative strategies and solutions to complex business issues and earned the trust and confidence of senior management.

From 1988 through 2005, Ms. Altman was at Citigroup Inc. (and its predecessor companies) where she held several positions in the corporation’s subsidiaries, including Smith Barney and Citigroup Asset Management (CAM). While with Smith Barney, she served in a number of roles that ranged from financial analyst for senior corporate executives to controller of the institutional investment management division handling merger integration issues, evaluating and analyzing financial data, and assessing product offerings, pricing, and profitability in the context of the competitive landscape. During her tenure with CAM, she was a product specialist and relationship manager where she promoted a broad spectrum of investment strategies to procure and strengthen ultra high net worth client relationships, as well as establish and execute individualized investment plans.

Ms. Altman continued with ClearBridge Advisors LLC, upon Legg Mason’s acquisition of CAM in 2005. While at ClearBridge from 2005-2008, she worked as a client portfolio manager, representing the firm and its traditional and alternative investment strategies before industry consultants, institutional investors, and retail sales forces. She also served as chief of staff to the CEO where, among other things, she was directly involved in strategic planning and analysis, product positioning, and performance assessment.

Ms. Altman received her B.S. in Finance from St. John’s University in 1988.
